UPSC CSE Prelims 2025: GS Paper 1 Analysis and Feedback
The 2025 Prelims GS Paper 1 continued the trend of:
-
Increasing analytical depth
-
Inter-disciplinary linkages
-
Reduction in direct, factual questions
A student purely depending on self-study using traditional methods like NCERTs and Standard Textbooks would have faced real trouble in the exam hall.
Having said that, a student dependent on coaching material or monthly current affairs compilations too would struggle unless he/she developed a deep conceptual grasp.
Those who can manage around 50% or more marks, by carefully preparing along the right direction of experts who analyse the changing trends, would hopefully be writing UPSC CSE Mains this year!
