UPSC released the e-admit card for Civil Services Examination 2021. Know how to download UPSC Admit Card 2021.
Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has released the admit card for Preliminary Examination 2021.
Candidates need to bring the e-Admit Card printout along with the original Photo Identity Card, whose number is mentioned in the e-Admit Card, in each session to secure admission to Examination Hall.
Wearing of mask/face cover is mandatory for all candidates. Candidates without mask/face cover will not be allowed entry into the Venue.
How to download UPSC Admit Card 2021?
- Step 1: Log on to the official website, upsc.gov.in.
- Step 2: Under “What’s New” click on the link which says, “e- Admit Card: Civil Services (Preliminary) Examination, 2021.”
- Step 3: You now will be on the website upsconline.nic.in. Take a printout (PDF) of the instructions to begin the process.
- Step 4: Click ‘Yes’ to the question ‘Have You Read & Taken the Print Out of ‘Important Instructions’?
- Step 5: Enter your UPSC Civil Services 2021 roll number or registration id along with other details like Date of Birth to download the admit card.
- Step 6: Take a printout of both the instructions and e-admit card and bring them to the exam hall.
What should candidates bring to UPSC CSE Prelims 2021 Exam hall?
- Bring the e-Admit Card (print out) along with the (original) Photo Identity Card, whose number is mentioned in the e-Admit Card, in each session to secure admission to Examination Hall.
- Candidates who do not have clear photographs on the e-Admit Card will have to bring a photo identity proof and two passport size photographs one for each session for appearing in the Examination with an undertaking.
- Wearing of mask/face cover is mandatory for all candidates. Candidates without mask/face cover will not be allowed entry into the Venue.
- The candidate may carry his/her own hand sanitiser (small size) in a transparent bottle.
- Candidates should bring Black Ball Point Pens to the exam hall. Answers other than those made by Black Ball Point Pen will not be evaluated.
UPSC CSE Prelims 2021: Things to note
- Candidates should note that any omission/ mistake/ discrepancy in encoding / filling in details in the OMR answer sheet, especially with regard to Roll Number and Test Booklet Series Code, will render the answer sheet liable for rejection.
- Please note that entry into the Examination Venue shall be closed 10 minutes before the scheduled commencement of the Examination i.e. 09:20 AM for the Forenoon Session and 02:20 PM for the Afternoon Session. No candidate shall be allowed entry into the Examination Venue after the closure of the entry.
- Candidates are advised to enter the Examination Venue well in time for frisking.
- Candidates should note that they shall not be allowed to appear at any other Examination Venue except the Examination Venue mentioned in the e-Admit Card.
- Candidate should not be in possession of or using any mobile phone (even in switched off mode), pager or any electronic equipment or programmable device or storage media like pen drive, smartwatches, etc., or camera or Bluetooth devices or any other equipment or related accessories either in working or switched off mode capable of being used as a communication device during the examination. Any infringement of these instructions shall entail disciplinary action including a ban from future Examinations.
- Use of normal or simple wristwatches by candidates is allowed inside the Examination Rooms/ Halls. However, the use of watches fitted with any special accessory that might be used as a communication device or smartwatches is strictly prohibited and candidates are not allowed to take such watches into the Examination Rooms/ Halls.
- There will be a penalty (Negative Marking) for wrong answers marked by a candidate in both the question papers of the Examination.
- Answers other than those made by Black Ball Point Pen will not be evaluated.
- Candidates are advised not to bring any valuables/ costly items and bags to the Examination Venue, as safekeeping of the same cannot be assured. The commission will not be responsible for any loss in this regard.
- Candidates, who have opted for their own scribe, may note that their own scribe will be allowed for the Examination only with a separate e-Admit Card for such scribe. The e-Admit Cards for the own scribes will be issued separately.
Covid-19 Related Special Instructions for UPSC CSE Prelims 2021 Candidates
- Wearing of mask/face cover is mandatory for all candidates. Candidates without mask/face cover will not be allowed entry into the Venue.
- Candidates, however, will have to remove their masks for verification, whenever required by the Examination functionaries.
- The candidate may carry his/her own hand sanitiser (small size) in a transparent bottle.
- Candidates to follow COVID 19 norms of ‘social distancing’ as well as ‘personal hygiene’ inside the Examination Halls/Rooms as well as on the premises of the Venue.
