UPSC has released a new set of instructions concerning the photo and appearance of the candidates in the Civil Service Examination. Read to know more.
The latest UPSC CSE notification has some major instructions for candidates appearing in the Civil Service Examination.
One of the main instructions from the end of the Commission is that the candidates must ensure that their appearance matches their photograph at each stage of the Examination Process i.e. at the time of Preliminary, Main (Written) and Interview/Personality Test.
Instructions concerning uploading of Photograph while filling up the online application form
The new instructions from UPSC are connected with uploading Photographs while filling up the online application form.
1. The Photograph should be very recent (not more than 10 days old)
The photograph, uploaded by the candidate should not be more than 10 days old from the start of the online application process (i.e. the application commencement date).
2. The Photograph should contain the name of the candidate along with the date.
Ensure that the name of the candidate and the date on which the photograph was taken are clearly mentioned on the photograph.
3. The candidate’s face should occupy 3/4th of the space of the photograph
The candidate’s face should occupy 3/4th of the space in the photograph.
4. The candidate’s appearance must match the photograph throughout the exam process
The candidates must ensure that their appearance matches with their photograph at each stage of the Examination Process i.e. at the time of Preliminary, Main (Written) and Interview/Personality Test.
5. Candidates with beards, spectacles, or moustaches should continue with the same look
If a candidate uploads a bearded photograph, he must appear with the same look in the Preliminary, Main (Written) and Interview/Personality Test. The same would be the case with spectacles, moustaches, etc.
