UPSC declared the results of Civil Services Examination 2014. On the basis of the result of the Civil Services (Preliminary) Examination, 2014 held on 24.08.2014, around 16,900 candidates have qualified for admission to the Civil Services (Main) Examination, 2014. This exam was attempted by around 4.5 lakh candidates this year.
How to check UPSC Civil Services Prelims 2014 Results?
Two separate lists of qualified candidates are prepared by UPSC for Civil Services Mains exam as well as Indian Forestry Service Mains exam. Though the cut-offs are not officially out, cut-off score for Indian Forest Service Mains call is expected to be on the higher side than CSE Mains call.

In accordance with the Rules of the Examination, all qualified candidates have to apply again in the Detailed Application Form, DAF (CSM), for Civil Services (Main) Examination, 2014, which would be available on the website of the Union Public Service Commission www.upsc.gov.in. All the qualified candidates are advised to fill up the DAF (CSM) online and submit the same ONLINE for admission to the Civil Services (Main) Examination, 2014 to be held from Sunday, the 14th December, 2014. The DAF (CSM) will be available on the website of the Commission from Tuesday, 28th October, 2014 till Tuesday, 11th November 2014.
Not Yet Qualified Candidates: What to do next?
There is nothing to be ashamed if you didn’t make it this time. This exam is considered one of the toughest exams in India, and only 3 candidates out of 100 who take UPSC CSE clears it. This means Prelims stage is a tough barrier to cross considering 97 percentage rejection. Take the results in right spirit, rectify your mistakes and try hard. Remember, most of the toppers had failed many times, either at Prelims, mains or interviews before making it to the top. So don’t lose your spirit. Keep trying.

Dear ClearIAS and fellow participants on this forum :),
Now since result of pre are out and actual people writing answers will be only the mains candidates. It would be better if ClearIAS provides us option to write in Pen and Paper, upload the piece of paper and the same is evaluated by ClearIAS. Because ultimately we have to WRITE not TYPE in the examination.

Sir I am doing btech 1st year from metallurgical and materials science branch at MNIT Jaipur and my aim is to become an IAS officer and my age is 17 from cast category ST should I complete my degree from DU and which subject should I opt . Sir I am confused about opting DU or MNIT Jaipur which would be better for me please reply as soon as possible
