Names of Candidates of UPSC Prelims 2019 have been listed by the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC). UPSC had earlier released the list of selected candidates roll number-wise. A total of 11845 candidates have qualified for the Main Exam.
Disclosure of the Names of Successful Candidates – A New Practice
It is a new initiative from the UPSC to disclose the names of the successful candidates of Civil Services Prelims. In previous years, only roll numbers were released.
By making the names of the candidates public, UPSC aims to bring more transparency to the selection process. It also helps to eliminate some fraudulent claims by some coaching institutes, teachers, and candidates about their ‘success’.
However, some candidates expressed concern about additional pressure when their names are in the public domain.
Successful Candidates in UPSC Civil Services Preliminary Exam 2019
On the basis of the result of the Civil Services (Preliminary) Examination, 2019 held on 02/06/2019, the candidates with the following Roll Numbers have qualified for admission to the Civil Services (Main) Examination, 2019.

Candidates Qualified for UPSC CSE Mains need to apply again!
In accordance with the Rules of the Examination, all these candidates have to apply again in the Detailed Application Form-I (DAF-I) for the Civil Services (Main) Examination, 2019, which will be available on the website of the Union Public Service Commission (https://upsconline.nic.in) during the period from 01/08/2019 (Thursday) to 16/08/2019 (Friday) till 6:00 P.M.
Candidates Qualified for Indian Forest Services Exam Mains 2019
A total of 1145 candidates qualified Indian Forest Service (Preliminary) Examination, 2019 through the CSE(P) Examination 2019 when names of Candidates – UPSC Prelims 2019 was out.
